The River Boys
on Home And Away
I decided my first post on the Brothers in TV section, should be my favorite set of brothers. It has everything I love about them. You can find the River Boys on the TV show, Home and Away. It’s an Australian show but for those in the US, you can watch it on Daily Motion by searching The River Boys. They are listed from 1-1000+. Yes there are that many episodes.
Let me introduce you to the Braxton brothers.
Darrel Braxton (Brax)
He’s the oldest brother and the bad boy of the bay. He’s tough and no one messes with him, even his brothers know not to cross him. Most people avoid his path if they can. That being said however, he’s a good man that values family above all else. He protects his brothers no matter the cost to himself. His bond with the youngest is incredible. No matter what happens in Summer Bay, Brax is the one you can count on.
Heath is next in line as far as the ages go, but he’s far from mature. He’s hot headed and quick to throw a punch, he makes bad calls and puts himself in danger often. Brax is always fixing his stuff ups. (Stuff up is an Aussie term, yes watching this show I have picked up some Australian slang, they talk so much cooler than Americans.) One thing Heath is though, is funny. He’s always making me laugh.
Kyle is a complicated and broody chap. He is only a half brother, but that doesn’t matter to the rest of them. As Brax says, “He’s blood.” He enters the show in a bad state of mind. Leave it to Brax to straighten him out. Brax could straighten anyone out. Kyle does grow and turn into a sane and loving brother in time.
The baby of the family, and the sook. (Another Aussie term for sulk.) Brax would do anything to protect the “Golden Boy”. Casey views Brax as a father figure since Brax pretty much raised him, since their dad was in prison. Casey is a good kid though, and doesn’t want to follow in his brothers footsteps, but he can’t seem to avoid it and winds up in trouble along with Heath many times.
So that’s the River Boys, or the Braxtons. If you love brothers, you will love this show. Let me know if you watch it and what you think about it.
